E3 Has Announced its First Ever Public Event

The Entertainment Software Association has announced E3 Live 2016, a free, ticketed satellite event open to the public throughout the course of the core E3 show, from June 14-16. Taking place at the LA Live complex – situated next door to E3’s home, the LA Convention Centre – the event will feature playable games, live entertainment, industry personality meet-ups and exclusive merchandise for sale. No specific playable games have been detailed at time of writing. Tickets are available now on a first-come-first-served basis from the E3 Live website. E3 has traditionally only ever included a trade show component, open exclusively to members of the games industry, but recent years have seen the likes of Nintendo breaking away from the accepted structure and hosting public-facing events.
