Destiny 2’s Season Of The Splicer Is Overhauling How Seasonal Armor Is Earned

Destiny 2’s next season, Season of the Splicer, is bringing with it a number of big changes once again. In the latest weekly update from Bungie, the developer revealed a new approach to how seasonal armor will be unlocked, as each piece was previously earned multiple times as a reward whenever certain season ranks were met.Completing specific seasonal activities will now unlock armor pieces, which have a very Tron-like appearance in Season of the Splicer. Guaranteed armor pieces can also be earned from using Focused Umbral Engrams, and the slots on the Seasonal Track that would have normally contained that gear have been replaced with Glimmer, Legendary shards, Upgrade modules, Exotic engrams, Enhancement cores, and Enhancement prism rewards.Armor cosmetics can still be earned on the Seasonal Track, with those unlocks beginning at level 64 for gauntlet armor and continuing to levels 67, 77, 87, and 97 for boot, Guardian class flair, chest, and helmet armor respectively. The rest of the gear that Season Pass owners can unlock includes the new Exotic Stasis sidearm Cryosthesia 77k, a shotgun, and a heavy machine gun amongst the usual resources on offer.Continue Reading at GameSpot
