Dead Rising 4 was officially announced at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference earlier today. Leaked images of Dead Rising 4 first surfaced last week. As shown in the leaked poster and confirmed at the conference, Dead Rising 4 will star Frank West, the protagonist from the first Dead Rising game. According to the Christmas-themed trailer, Dead Rising 4 will be released during the holiday season this year for Xbox One and Windows 10. Tekken 7 Coming Early 2017, Confirmed for Xbox One

Tekken 7 is coming early 2017 and will be on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Game Director Katsuhiro Harada announced at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference. “Not only will Tekken 7 evolve as a competitive fighting game, as you just saw, there’s an all-new story mode that transitions from epic narrative cinematics to action-filled gameplay,” Harada said. Harada also announced that Xbox Live Gold members can download Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for free during the week of E3. Minecraft Realms Introduces Cross-Play Across All Platforms

At Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference earlier today, Mojang introduced Microsoft Realms, which will allow players across Xbox One, Windows 10, iOS, and Android to play Minecraft together. It will also be Gear VR compatible. Several add-ons are also coming to Minecraft: Pocket Edition later this year, including city texture packs and adjustable villager AI. According to the Minecraft team, this is the “first step towards a fully moddable Minecraft.” Minecraft Realms will be available next year. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Announced

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s collectible card game, Gwent, is getting its own game. Announced at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference with a live-action trailer, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will feature a full single-played campaign and cross-platform multiplayer. Developer CD Projekt is also redesigning and improving the visuals. The closed beta begins on Xbox One and Windows in September. Gwent fans can sign up at playgwent.com. Xbox One Gets 6 New Platform Features

Mike Ybarra, Microsoft’s Head of Platform Engineering announced five new features for Xbox One at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference. Ybarra said that background music, language region independence, and the Cortana digital assistant that was announced last week are coming to Xbox One later this summer. There’s also three new Xbox Live features that should be available later in fall. First, Arena is a new tournament platform that allows players to “discover, register, and compete” in tournaments. Limbo developer PlayDead’s next game, Inside, will be out on June 29 for Xbox One and July 7 on Steam, [email protected] head Chris Charla announced at Microsoft’s 2016 E3 press conference. To celebrate the forthcoming release of Inside, PlayDead’s Limbo is available for free on Xbox One until June 20th and on Steam June 21st and 22nd. Inside was first revealed at Microsoft’s 2014 E3 press conference. The Xbox One exclusive was delayed from its original 2015 release window last year after nearly five years in development. The Division Underground DLC Release Date Announced

Ubisoft confirmed at the Xbox E3 press conference that The Division’s next DLC Underground is set to release for the Xbox One on June 28. The DLC will release 30 days later on PS4 and PC thanks to an exclusivity deal for the game with Microsoft. Underground is the first of three paid DLC expansions announced for The Division, with another expansion, Survival, expected to release this summer. A purported leak via Amazon revealed a date for the DLC earlier this month. Ubisoft has also recently announced stricter consequences for cheaters in the game. At their E3 2016 press conference earlier today, Microsoft announced that Gears of War’s General RAAM will be the newest character to join the Killer Instinct roster. You’ll be able to play General RAAM, the reptilian Locust soldier, for free this week. Microsoft also announced a new Xbox Play Anywhere program, which will allow you to play select games across both Xbox One and Windows 10, with shared achievements.
