Tencent And Chinese Police Bust Million Cheating Operation

One of the most lucrative video game cheating enterprises in history has been shut down, with the operation reportedly generating over $76 million in revenue prior to the bust.As reported by the BBC, the cheating group, which called itself “Chicken Drumstick,” was raided in a collaborative operation between Chinese authorities and Tencent, the enormous conglomerate that also runs some of China’s biggest video game businesses. As part of the raid, more than $46 million in assets were seized, including several sports cars. They said users could pay $200 a month to access cheats, which were available for some of the most-popular games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Overwatch. The 3.3 update for No Man’s Sky called Expeditions introduces a new game mode that will change every season. The multiplayer mode lets players explore a planet together and reach milestones, to foster a sense of community and welcome in new players.The Expeditions mode is distinct from the existing Normal, Creative, Survival, and Permadeath modes, and Hello Games promises that each season will introduce new adventures for the community to explore together. In Expeditions, all players start on the same planet, and completing missions will unlock mission patches to display. You’ll also get cosmetic rewards that you can take back into the other game modes, like a new jetpack, exclusive ship, weapon, and title already available.The Expeditions also includes some tweaks to the overall game as well. A Target Sweep mode expands your exploration options with new survey techniques, and missions have been overhauled to include the Target Sweep mechanic. Just after Lawn Mowing Simulator was announced, publisher Sold Out and developer Auroch Digital have revealed a beer brewing simulator game called Brewmaster.Due for release in 2022 on console and PC, Brewmaster is a game about the art and craft of making homebrewed beer. “Discover, learn, and master the art of homebrewing in the ultimate celebration of craft beer,” reads a line from its description. “From perfecting authentic, chemistry-driven brewing techniques to bottling and labelling, become an ultimate brewmaster in the first ever realistic beer brewing experience.”Players can follow recipes or go out on their own and experiment with ingredients to create the best brew. The game also lets you create the physical space where you brew your beer, complete with decoration options to furnish your at-home brewery. Developer miHoYo has announced that a PlayStation 5 version of Genshin Impact will be launched “soon”, and will come with some enhancements. The upgraded version of Genshin Impact won’t be doing anything above and beyond, but will offer the expected 4K resolution with enhanced textures across “every part” of the game, as well as improved loading times thanks to the PS5’s SSD. So while Genshin Impact’s PS4 version is playable on the new console thanks to backward compatibility, this version will offer some noticeable improvements.
