Fast Food Might Come From Robots Soon

They might not be cylons from Battlestar: Galactica, but robots will most likely be making our fast food in the near future. Recode reports that there are already machines making sushi and ramen, putting together pizzas, and even mixing drinks. That’s on top of new fast food startups that utilize robots. For example, Momentum Machines hopes to open in San Francisco with a robot that flips burgers. Meanwhile, Eatsa promises “better, faster food” without any human interaction. Assassin's Creed Opens Poorly at Box Office

Assassin’s Creed had an underwhelming debut at the domestic box office, earning just $15 million over the four-day holiday weekend. As noted by Variety, the video game-inspired film, starring Michael Fassbender, earned $22.5 million during its first six days in theaters, placing fifth at the box office. As such, the movie still has a long way to go to recoup its $125 million production budget. The studio expects the film to perform well in international markets. “This start exceeded our modeling,” Fox domestic distribution chief Chris Aronson said. “We’ll be the beneficiaries of a strong holiday play period.” Continue reading…
